My Boca
Why we call Boca Raton our place
to live, work, learn, and play
As The City of Boca Raton commemorates 100 years of history, storytelling brings the past, present, and future to life. Whether through words or verse, we invite our community to share the stories that shape our collective journey. Together, let’s celebrate our voices, embrace our connections, and create a lasting legacy. Your story matters—be a part of it.
Ode to Boca
The Ode to Boca program offers a unique opportunity for Boca Raton residents to reflect on their connection to the city through the timeless art of poetry. Inspired by the numbers of your zip code, this five-line poem invites you to creatively express what makes your neighborhood, community, and experiences special. This initiative brings together diverse voices across the city to celebrate Boca Raton.
Boca Raton Untold
In collaboration with Lynn University’s College of Communication and Design, Boca Raton Untold celebrates the visionaries and leaders who have helped shape the City of Boca Raton. Through compelling interviews, they uncover the stories of community pioneers and influencers, preserving their contributions and insights for generations to come. Join us in honoring their legacies and exploring the narratives that continue to inspire our community.
Voices of the City
The second half of our storytelling program offers a more personal, intimate look at Boca Raton through the voices of its residents. We take to the streets to capture quick, candid audio recordings of community members sharing their most cherished memories and hopes for the future of the city. From longtime residents to newcomers, every voice adds to the vibrant mosaic of our community, preserving the essence of Boca for years to come.
